We have been out to Lisa and paul at Canadian Carpin Holidays twice 2008/2010 and we are going again this year June 2012.A party of ten five men and our wives. The fishing on the St. Lawrence is second to none the hardest fighting carp you will ever come across. We are all so looking forward to the next trip to Canada.

Hi Paul and Lisa,
I have been 2 times now at CCH to fish for the amazing strong St. Lawrence River carp. I must say it's just unbelievable. You must just have to go there. The fishing and the hole package is really great! The beautiful sunsets, the beautiful strong commons, the hosts, it is what a Carp angler needs to never forget. I will be back this year because Canadian Carpin Holidays is addictive!

Hi Paul
and Lisa
I have visited Paul and Lisa's on 5 occasions and all I can say that each one is absolutely awesome. The fishing is incredible to put it mildly and the sheer numbers of fish present has to be seen to be believed. All mint conditioned wild hard fighting bars of gold! Paul and Lisa's hospitality is 2nd to none, with excellent food and the wonderful River Island Manor accommodation, and a great crack in the evening times. As I often travel alone they have always made me feel very welcome-do not be afraid to go there on your own as you will easily make good friends!
Hi Paul and Lisa

Hi Paul and Lisa,
I would just like to say that my week fishing with you at the Manor a few years ago was one of the best weeks angling I have ever had. Although I have not managed to get back sooner I have been singing your praises to everyone I meet. The takes, if you are old school like me need to be seen to be believed. Hospitality, accommodation, food, fishing, wildlife and scenery were second to none. I will be out again asap, tight lines.

Don't go there........cos I want my place next year!! again
Having been a customer of CCH for quite
a few years now I can thoroughly recommend them for your Canadian Carpin
fishing holidays. From the moment you are picked up at the airport 'till you
leave, you will be well looked after by both Paul and Lisa. The
facilities, fishing tackle, location, scenery and most of all the
fishing cannot be faulted. Fantastic value for money, which will see you
going back for more, which is testament to the work that has been put in by
both hosts in making this holiday so enjoyable. The food prepared by Lisa is
of top quality and would not be out of place in any quality restraunt.
Go for it -if you must- and book today,
if there are places left. You will NOT regret it. Col

Hi
"To anyone thinking of going to Canada to carp fishing firstly do not worry about all that money and the risk of blanking - you will catch more carp than you could dream of back home - its a fabulous experience. We have been several times with different providers before finding CCH, Paul & Lisa and without doubt the care, equipment and the whole fishing experience with them is second to none.
We have already booked our second trip
with them".

Dear Paul & Lisa,
Thank you very much for the most
wonderful holiday Sandra and I had in September. Where to start?
Having never been able to previously
travel to, let alone fish, in Canada the experience was nothing short of
fantastic. Lisa made us both feel very welcome from the moment we were met
at the airport and the journey to your home was very comfortable and full of
anticipation. The accommodation (your home) was breathtaking and the
view...well, 'very jealous!'
All the gear supplied is quality
and you need very little more to catch lots of fish. And the
fishing.....unbelievable!! You can catch as many hard fighting commons as
you can in the UK and not one would come close to the fight you get from the
mighty St Lawrence carp. Don't be lulled into a false sense of security when
they are in the net either because, day one, a fish jumped clean out of the
net....the draw string was almost a foot above the water!! Play that fish
again and second time lucky (and be more careful next time...we did have one
more in the week that nearly succeeded with the leap for freedom)!! Paul is
an excellent guide, puts you on the fish and is also on hand on the radio to
provide advice at any time. And between catching fish, the wildlife is
breathtaking; beavers, mink, very friendly chipmunks and even humming birds.
Fishing days was very good, but I also
fished the last night. I had 3 takes, landing 2, before the boat even got
back to the River Island Manor (less than 10 minutes). I had to reel rods in
during the night because of multiple takes and ended the night with 19
takes, landing 14, with 11 being 20lb+.
Lisa hosted Sandra while I was out
fishing. She was taken on a trip to America as well as shopping locally and
to visit local attractions. We both found Canada very welcoming.
Packed meals and ice cold drinks during
the day and an excellent meal, cooked by Lisa, in the evening. Relaxing in
the evenings in the beautiful River Island Manor, swapping fishing and other
stories, with a fantastic group of people.
In summary, hosts fantastic; location
stunning; accommodation brilliant; meals first class; fishing unbelievable!
This was planned as a once in a lifetime
holiday.....but we will definitely return, no doubt more than once!
Thank you very much Paul and Lisa, you
will be seeing us again.

Hi Paul and Lisa,
I am sitting here in the doom and gloom of winter reminiscing of
some great holidays over the years and some lovely people that I
have had the pleasure to meet and indeed fish with. All of my
pictures are separated into year dated folders and I have just
realized that I have been coming out to holiday with you now for 10
years. I have made 8 trips during that time, usually for 2 weeks
each and can't wait for my 2 weeks this year.
I have fished many different places over those years, but you are
the only company that has kept me coming back time after time. The
fishing for hard fighting wild river commons with the odd mirror
thrown in, is second to none, but what has impressed me the most is
how you have kept abreast of the modern day tackle and equipment and
developed the fishing experience away from the river with the lovely
accommodation that is sat on the waters front. Being able to return
home each day to a hot shower and a lovely meal, then just chilling
out playing a few games of pool or darts or just relaxing in front
of the TV chatting and telling a few tales to our fishing buddies
all adds up to a great holiday experience.
Long may it continue, and I will see you soon!

Hi CCH
October 2011 was my first visit to Canadian Carpin Holidays with
Paul and Lisa, I went with a few friends who have been going for
many years and who had always raved about how good the fishing was
so I had the added benefit of being with friends who knew what to
expect, I was made to feel very welcome from the very beginning of
the holiday when Lisa collected us from the airport. I was astounded
by the river island manor and the glorious views over the St
Lawrence right on the back doorstep! The first few days were very
hot which I was extremely surprised with for a Canadian October, the
gear that was given to us was of a high standard and very user
friendly, good all round gear suitable for any angler / angling
style, the trip out to the platforms on the boat was very enjoyable
and the swims were comfortable with garden benches and rod stands on
all platforms, all fish caught were commons throughout the week and
were totally stunning and of a very good size from 18lb upto 27lb +
for myself (breaking my PB twice consecutively within the space of
an hour!!) the pick of the week being a lovely 31lb common for my
friend, the evenings were very enjoyable with some nice food and a
swap of fishing tales with some very interesting stories from Paul
who has plenty of stories to share, the rooms were very nice with
very comfortable beds and the bathrooms and showers were of the
highest quality and really enjoyable after a long day on the banks
of the St Lawrence. Overall a very enjoyable holiday with some very
good friends and a life experience which should be undertaken by any
carp angler at some stage in my opinion, superb holiday and one I
will definitely be doing again!
Paul & Lisa
Well what can
you say my friend and I have been fishing for years, I am a new carper and
have been to France twice. One good week and one where we both blanked. So
we thought a different holiday, came up with Canadian Carpin Holiday.
checked it out on youtube, it sounded kinda unreal, pick up, meals, tackle,
baited swims, travel to the swims etc. Ok we booked. Just like the advert it
does what it says on the tin!
We were picked up from Ottawa Airport by Lisa with a nice smile and polite ,every ok. Lisa then drove us to the River Island Manor, Paul and Lisa's place and jetta the most softest dog on this planet. Paul provide all carp tackle and tells you how to fish the swim around the St Lawrence river. Ok this is how it was Paul took us to one of his pegs got there 6.30 am Paul and Gary (a guest the same as Fred and myself ) Paul showed where to fish as these were pre-baited. The wind picked up and we caught a huge 845lb of carp in one day session. biggest was fred 29lb ..Paul and gary was well over a tonne. same the next day.
If people reading this are kinda like ok don't believe this, check out Canadian Carpin holidays on YouTube May to June video you will like it. Fred and I fished our second week and had about 15-25 carp between Fred and I each day and only fished 12 hours and Fred caught a mid 35lb+ and a 29lb rare St Lawrence mirror carp. Lisa's home cooked food was different every night and very good too. Paul's expertise and super knowledge of fishing the St Lawrence river was the best! if there was only 25 carp in the whole of the St Lawrence river Paul would help you catch 15 of them. My mate Fred and I have both booked for last week of may first week in June 2011. he then went on to book September 2011 then both of us booked for two weeks September 2012.
You pay for what you get, and this his truly an awesome Carpin holiday. Just do it!Mr Paul Cottingham UK

Hello Paul and Lisa,
Looking forward to our May trip not long now. Hopeing the bays are as kind to us this time as they have been in the past. The first time we visited was far more than we ever expected with 527 carp between the five of us with 50 30lb+ caught including 3-40s to 47lb+ and loads & loads of 20s.Then after a exhausting day catching the hard fighting St. Lawrence carp we returned to one of Lisa’s first class evening meals. Before we left for home we had to book a trip for the next year and booked the trip for later in the year so we could fish the dam at River Island Manor. The fishing was just as hectic with just as many carp caught again including another 34 30lb+ carp and loads of 20s between us. By the end of each trip we are eager to book again, often alternating between fishing the bays in the spring and the dam and rolling rock in the autumn. Both are fantastic fishing but totally different, with the shallow weedy bays and the 30ft of crystal clear flowing water of the dam.
Each trip since our first trips has produced 90 to 100 carp per angler, even with our groups increasing for each trip, Ten of us last time!
Not long until May when we board the plane again and know that when we step off, we will have two weeks of hectic fishing and then return to superb accommodation and Lisa’s excellent meals plus the odd bottle of bear.
See you soon. Andy Wornham and the Lads UK
